Candlelight Homes named Advocacy Business of the Year by Valley Crossroads Chamber of Commerce for Firefly in Eagle Mountain, Utah

CANDLELIGHT HOMES NAMED ADVOCACY BUSINESS OF THE YEAR BY VALLEY CROSSROADS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Eagle Mountain homebuilder recognized for meaningful community development and family-centered design

EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah — Candlelight Homes has been named the Advocacy Business of the Year by the Valley Crossroads Chamber of Commerce, recognized at the organization’s 2026 Red Carpet Gala held in the Eagle Mountain area.

The award is part of the Chamber’s G.E.A.R.S. framework, a structure built around Growth, Education, Advocacy, Resource & Connection, and Serving Our Community. The Advocacy award is reserved for businesses that connect economic development with long-term community vision.

In presenting the award, Chamber leadership noted that advocacy isn’t always loud, and that Candlelight Homes demonstrates the quieter, more thoughtful kind. Through meaningful development in Eagle Mountain, the company is building neighborhoods designed to support families and strengthen community bonds.

The Firefly community was cited specifically as a powerful example of that philosophy in action by creating spaces that encourage children to unplug, stay active, and connect with one another. Chamber leadership described that kind of influence as culture-shaping and lasting.

Council Member Brett Wright, who presented the award, noted that “Advocacy is not always loud. It is often strategic. It is forward-thinking. And it leaves a lasting impact.”

David Nielsen, VP of Operations, and Ty Brooks, VP of Sales, were on hand to receive the award on behalf of Candlelight Homes. “We’re honored to accept this award and truly grateful to see the Firefly mission of helping families disconnect to reconnect coming to life.” said David. Ty added, “We’re truly grateful for the recognition. It affirms our mission that we’re not just building homes, we’re creating a lifestyle where kids willingly ditch their devices to play outdoors.”

Candlelight Homes was recognized alongside award recipients including Inspire Sports (Growth Business of the Year), Stride Pediatrics (Serving Our Community), and the Veterans Business Resource Center (Nonprofit of the Year).
