The building of our home has been such a blessing to us. We appreciate the professionalism Candlelight has shown in the process so far. Thanks!

What Community Did you Build in?
Eaglepoint near the Eaglewood Golf Course in North Salt Lake.
What Floor Plan did you build?
It is called the Rocky Cove. But it was altered by my wife working with Craig Wall, the architect.
What Up-Grades Did you Add?
We upgraded everything. For instance, we chose the best appliances at Aspire, and we love them. We upgraded the counter tops, carpet, tile, tinted windows, etc.
In addition, we added at our own expense--sweat equity, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, fireplace mantel in great room, and hardwood floors in kitchen/dining area.
What was your reason for Building a New Home?
We couldn't find all or even almost all the things we wanted in a home that was already built. For instance, we wanted a large great room to entertain in, and for large family gatherings.
Why did you choose Candlelight Homes?
Because of Joe Salisbury and Sara Beck. They both made it possible to get our brains to believe it was possible to build with the budget we had.
What was the Hardest Part of Building?
Communication. Sara and Dennis were awesome, but we were surprised that some things that were in the specs and the contract were missed by the workers; for instance, the medallion above the arch to the front door and the interior insulation.
What was the best part of Building?
The experience was exciting to watch. Everyday a new development. We are very happy with the finished product. Dennis and Sara were very helpful and very responsive. Candlelight was very honest and fair in their dealings.
Is there anything you would have done differently?
Pay closer attention to what is being done. No sweat equity, except for wiring for cable, internet and alarms; which we literally did ourselves. It was a mistake to sweat equity the cabinets and kitchen floors with a different sub.
