Can Candlelight Homes really build Quality New homes LESS than Foreclosures?

Absolutely! Sounds crazy, but it's true. It's very easy to see how this is possible when you understand how we do it:
1. Candlelight has aggressively pursued the FDIC and local banks to acquire the very best subdivision & lots for pennies on the dollar. Your building lot is most likely the single most expensive cost for your new home. Since we're acquiring lots at huge discounts, the cost of your home is significantly less than homes that were built on lots that cost tens and even hundreds of thousands of dollars.

2. Since the economy as suffered, construction is slow, making material and labor costs LESS than they've been in over a decade. As a result, the cost to actually construct your home is significantly LESS than it's been in a long time.

Since all costs going into building your new home (building lot, materials, labor) are LESS than they've been for many years, most new Candlelight homeowners have found that they actually paid LESS than a comparable foreclosure. This is especially great considering that they were able to pick their colors and options and get a full warranty with Candlelight Homes where if they were to buy a foreclosure they would have to purchase it "As Is" with NO Warranty!!!

 

What makes Candlelight Homes different from other builders?

Candlelight is company started by the owners of DAI, Utah's Foremost Land Developer. As a result, we have a very thorough understanding of the important aspects of the subdivision and the land on which each home is built. Most builders simply purchase lots with very limited knowledge about the specifics of the ground and subdivision. As a result, their buyers are sometimes at risk. Be assured that your home will be built on a lot that is very unlikely to have problems in the future.

 

How much money do I need up front to build a home with Candlelight Homes?

Candlelight requires that you post $1,000 as initial Earnest Money at the time of contract execution. Additionally, you will be required to furnish 3.5% during your pre-construction meeting (5% for a random lot) before we begin building your home. Candlelight also requires that you provide 20% of all Options and Upgrades selected above $10,000.

 

How long will in take to build my home?

It typically takes less than 120 days to build your home once we have begun construction. However, it takes some additional time to do all of your initial paperwork and select your colors & options before we begin construction. As a result, we recommend that you plan on at least 4-5 months before expecting to move in.

 

What warranty does Candlelight Homes Offer?

Each Candlelight Home comes standard with a 1-year warranty, which covers the entire home for 12 months against any problems. See Candlelight Homes' Warranty for complete details.

 

Are Candlelight Homes Energy-Efficient?

Yes, Candlelight Homes is a Green Leaf Builder to ensure that the quality of your new home is built to the highest standards.



In addition, Candlelight builds the exterior walls of each home with 2x6 boards instead of just 2x4 boards, like most builders. As a result, be assured that your home is sturdy and has more insulation than most homes, making it extra energy efficient.
